More Trade Center space needed

Hi,

This has probably been said a million times by now. I really wish there was a way to expand the trade center storage space. I thought a new franchise zoo would let me store more animals. I was wrong. It's still capped at 30 animals, across all franchise zoos. I guess it makes sense to cap it, so as to keep the animal market alive, but I'd still like to store more than 30 animals.

Also, what's wrong with the animal market? Should there be more animals generated by "frontier zoo"? Some species seem impossible to find or you find loads of one gender and none of the other. Also, if fertility at 0% means completely infertile, I think those animals shouldn't be allowed on the animal market. Even releasing to the wild seems iffy...and cruel.

Completely agree regarding the trade center we need more space to keep our franchise going without having to go back and forth between zoos, which is just tedious 'cause we have to go over the main menu each and every time.

No idea about the animals on the market since I kinda gave up on franchise ATM even though I'd love to continue there, but the "I have no money left" bug infected my zoos and now my shops make no profit anymore -.-

And about the 0% fertility thing: they can still breed. It only means they'll get less babies if it's a species that can have more than one e.g. cheetahs will only have one cub instead of three or four that you could get with a higher fertility.

Thank you, Nioell, for that info regarding fertility! Am I missing something or is inbreeding not that bad then?

NP and it's really not as bad as some make it out to be, though I guess it depends on how much you care personally about the whole thing. It doesn't have that much of an impact on actual gameplay and it's great if you just wanna keep your populations going. I mean I got my first 4 Bongos (1 male 3 female) when I first opened my zoo which is now over 200 years old and their population has been self-sustaining ever since. There are only inbred Bongos in my zoo and they keep getting tons of offspring and I don't have any problems with them whatsoever. So yeah, in the end it's really a matter of personal preference when it comes to inbreeding in the game.

I think the overall idea of inbreeding is bad :D

But in-game depends, if you want to sell offspring/earn CC - you really need to consider this.
But if you just want to keep a certain species in your zoo and they are difficult to find or rare, you can choose to inbreed.
Fertility and immunity are the biggest problems with inbreeding.

Personally, with some species very careful and some species (mostly fast breeding species) I don't check.

Some species are difficult to find online and only finding 1 gender mostly has to do with the group-size/gender amount.
Golden male lions were a lot cheaper than female ones, because 2 males cause fighting and you can keep 1 male and 8-10 (?) females in 1 habitat.

A lot of people mentioned increased trade center space, I hope they add something to expand this.

Speaking of immunity. I've never once had a disease break out in my franchise zoos. I've always put new animals in quarantine, and waited for them to be cleared, before putting them in my habitat. I've never let the water get dirty, nor let the habitat not be cleaned. Have I been incredibly lucky or is maybe the disease system too easy to control? I've read that diseases are a huge problem with peafowls and warthogs, but I've never had those species in my zoos.

I started to try and breed some nice golden animals in franshice and after just a little while the limits of the tradecentre forced me to demolish a zoo with good amout of money and turn it into a quaranteen zoo to store the animals for future breeding. Without a second zoo it's almost impossible to have a breeding program it feels like :/
And the limit to the tradecentre is bad for the market too I feel. Often I have lots of animals that I want to sell on the market, but at the same time I need the space to buy new mates for my animals, so often I have to just release the animals instead of selling them cus I need the space :/ So either increase the storage, or make it so that the animals you put up for sale don't count towards the limit.

I don't have a problem with the trade center as it is. With most species you'll need to manage multiple habitats, if necessary in multiple zoos if you want to breed them. To breed with all your animals will take lot of habitats and zoos though, maybe a fun challenge to set for when I have more zoos.
Being able to breed all species with just one habitat in one zoo, which it seems to be what people want extra storage space for, wouldn't be much fun to me.
Keeping some space in the Trade Center for selling and buying is a challenge and takes some management. I try to keep about 10 spots free and when in a zoo I let the Trade Center fill up with offspring, selling or releasing what I don't need, and go to a zoo where I need the animals.
To keep more space in my Trade Center I often release animals, once they have had offspring at least once, as soon as I can find a good replacement for them or a partner for their offspring, so I don't need to keep the them in the Trade Center for years.

Frontier has almost always animals available; it has never taken me more than a few minutes to get one, but maybe I've just been lucky. It would be nice anyway to always have some animals of both genders for all species available, especially for new players or me when I have another oops moment like noticing too late both my Okapis died.

Depends mostly on the food costs for the animals. More animals of the same kind only brings a few more people to the zoo, so you get higher costs with only very little extra money coming in. I also don't want 2 habitats with the same species in a zoo if they take up a lot of space.
Flamingos you can even breed with 1 habitat.

Well I guess that depends on what animals you are breeding and what your goal with the breeding is. Right now I'm trying to breed 4x100% with African Buffalos and Aardvarks. And finding good partners for those is not easy, there are hardly any on the market at all, and the ones from Frontier is usually of pretty poor quality. I have four habitats for each species and I save all the good offspring in my quaranten zoo (I think I have about 70 buffalos and 30 aardvarks atm in my other zoo. Since they are so hard to find on the market I have to have a big pool of animals to use as mates to avoid inbreeding. So yes, it would be impossible for me to just use the tradingpost to store them.
(And to those that think that I'm "hoarding" animals instead of putting them out on the market; I have sold about 30-40 male buffalos, all under 1k each)
