More trade CGs!

Just saying that I think we need a few more. The Carns CG isn't so fun, because even stealing a full 100t from a trader only nets 180,000 cr, and that's if you're lucky, they're compliant, and the drones work properly.

Perhaps a CG could start in I Bootis, which could create a new rare good, transforming the beta systems into a rare's hub?

Here, I proposed a new rare good with a backstory. Perhaps, in order to begin extracting specimen for export, Chango officials need marine equipment? Also, this could be a way to introduce a smuggling CG, as Chango officials may not be so motivated to extract the new rare good. They may want slaves to do the work for them, and weapons to keep those slaves under control.

Thoughts?
 
When I see a Community Goal (CG) with the progress "tonnes collected" - skip.

I want fighting CGs. I don't care if I have a bounty on my head but fighting CGs are so rare.
 
Recent CGs have been pants quite frankly.

I believe it's intentional to prevent mass exodus from Powerplay.

If there was a decent goal everybody would be there from start to finish.

While I do like Powerplay I am very annoyed that they crippled CGs at the apex of their popularity.

I think this is just temporary. PowerPlay demanded some resources (time, money, labour ,etc.) from FD so creating CGs were not that valueable for them in this time period. I suppose over time, this will change again when PowerPlay can be run by itself, which means by players only without the devs needing to spent alot of time watching the actions and impacts in order to archieve what is considered to be called "balance".

Short of defacing station walls with pro CG lobbying graffiti i am however beginning to wonder if we will ever see a return to the heady days of Lugh, Kappa Fornacis et all.
 
Trading CGs? Sure. But make them short. Rush jobs. No time for ennui to set in.

And extra credits for those very few commanders who know how to pronounce Bootis properly. ;)

Well we have the Suggest a new rare good competition, so there is no PP stuff, and I am sure it is just the tip of the iceberg

My rare good would be called Boot E. It is imperial slaves coated in palladium. It is in a limpet container that activates by remote and blows the cargo hatch from the inside!
