More Trigger options

The short version: We would like to see optional 3, 4, 5+ trigger options and not just Primary (1) & Secondary (2) triggers in our Fire Group menu.

The long version:
For those of us who have invested in control pads and flight sticks, we would like more trigger options than just Primary(1)/Secondary(2) Triggers. Even the lowly Thrustmaster "T.Flight Hotas X" has no less then 4 buttons on the joystick handle and as you progress up the quality of ships where you have over 6 hard points, it's a little sad when you have to choose with only two triggers and have to switch to a new fire group to access weapons that are "odd men out". For example, I'm flying a Krait Mk.2 and I have chosen to equip 2x level 3 Lasers, 2x level 2 Railguns and a level 3 Seeker Missle. Because of the mechanics, I have the lasers and the rail guns on Primary because I can laze a target and then let go if I'm not fully lined up with the target as Railguns take time to charge (rail guns are fixed only, no gimbles or turrets). But I just gifted my daughter a T.Flight Hotas because she plays as well and are dismayed as there are (still) only the two triggers to choose from and she wants more because she just got her Krait Mk. 2 today.

Yes, we're aware of fire groups and I'm nudging her to either bind her throttle or joystick buttons (5-12, 3 & 4 respectively) to Next/Previous firegroups. We're also using Voice Attack, so I am coaching her in Alpha-Numeric speak like they do in the military and law enforcement (A=Alpha, B=Beta, C=Charlie, etc.). We both agree that time is being lost on saying 3 words distinctly as opposed to button smashing, but I find it difficult to believe that even today's RL fighter pilots are limited to 2 triggers. If there are any members of the Airforce (or the aviation branch of your nation's military), please chime in if this is actually the case.

Thank you for reading and hope every one (Devs and CMDRs) have had a restive holiday season!

It's an old issue dating back many years. For some unfathomable reason fdev have done nothing to address it
