With the announcement of Malta DLC two days ago we were confirmed that variations will be receiving skins and patterns. This is something i've wanted since the Camp Cretacious DLC and now that its happening I cant wait to see it in game! (Dominion giga skin/pattern shown today looks amazing!)
but I feel like this could be expanded much larger in the future and here is what I personally think what dinosaurs should get variations for.
1. Velociraptor with 1993 variation
Velociraptor is one of the franchises most iconic and recognizable dinosaurs. They're great to look at and are fun to have in your park (if they dont escape) but I think the 1993 skin for the raptor should become a variation. While yes ik that 1993 skin doesn't change much but it actually does, the head shape is more iconic to the 1993 design which is why I would like for this to become a option. 1993, 1997, and 2001 skins would become part of the variations skins.
Personally I've never used the default JW raptor except for raptor squad skins so i hope this can be considered in the future.
2. Trex 65 million years ago variation
Yes ik the 65MYA skin is just a feathered rexy but I feel like If it became a variation with skins and patterns it could look so much better and less dull. I hope this can be considered as well.
3. JWE2 allo and Dominion/BABR Allo variation
It seems in all of the posts about variations getting skins and patterns they specifically kept in mind that only the iguanodon variant is getting the skin/pattern system. I hope this is just because they ran out of time but I REALLY hope that dominion allo gets a skin and pattern system in the future.
In conclusion.
Variants have so much potential in this game and I feel like frontiers is just getting started. I cant wait to see what they do in the future!
