Morgan Freeport killed me in 4.6 seconds - Balanced?

Not sure if this is intentional, but as soon as I rammed a Goliath and killed it (Shields only lost 1/2 a ring) I was shot down by Morgan Depot. Morgan Depot has no defences apart from 3/4 other goliaths, and in my (relatively) A-Rated DBX, I don't think 4.6 seconds is just from goliaths.

Personally, I think that bases like that need to be nerfed considerably - A starport is fine, but a settlement with NO WEAPONS is not fine.

Well, they mush have had SOMETHING to shoot at you. I doubt they were throwing pitchforks...
however did you come up with the theory that settlements have no defense?

Well looking at the Vid, 27sec mark when you rammed the Goliath, you had 58 % hull and an incoming missile...
that killed you. so it looks to me like you got your self killed.

Right, didn't notice that missile the first time. :)
Well, there's your mystery solved, OP.

If you watch it in slow-mo, you see the initial ram only takes a small impact on my shields. ~30 frames after that and I get hit by something from behind

Station cannons dwarf the ship weaponry generally, if you find them on stations you'd see, and planeside stations are no slouch either, so yeah... they will do that.

Stations and surface ports are packing capital-class weapons so yeah, don't expect to survive if you bother one.

Oh. Yeah I just realised I covered that. Sorry, but it wasn't intentional. It was to show how fast my hull dropped

I'm not accusing you of anything. :)
But I think that after the initial ram you either hit the ground, or was rammed by the second Goliath behind you and then hit by the rocket.

I think they have to be nerfed. People need to have a reasonable way to escape (think of T9s for example), when they are attacked by NPCs (or players) who ram them on purpose and explode.
Otherwise, combat logging will continue to plague the PvP world.

Not sure about fair but you have to admit nobody does voice overs better than him.

edit: oh, freeport, yeah .. no.

So you are in favour of people combat logging?

I think dying in 3.8 seconds prevents combat logging quite alright. ;)
Honest people will not combat log. Cheaters will find the way no matter the prevention. I see no reason why poor settlements should lose their defenses because of a bunch of cheaters. :p

Sorry buddy the way I read it; is you crashed and at over 100ms, death is pretty much guaranteed. The missiles, just finished you off.
