Buildings & Attractions Mosasaurus Lagoon Exhibit From Jurassic World Film

Your Feature Request / Idea
Perhaps the Mosasaurus lagoon exhibit from the Jurassic World film could be treated like a Wonder similar to those in other city building games.

It is placed down as a building structure with its own enormous space and power requirements. The construction is also significantly much longer with a steady supply of funding needed for its completion. Only fully matured parks of a certain renown, a healthy cash flow, great affinity with the 3 Divisions and a fully decoded Mosasaurus fossil could initiate and see this mega project to its fruition.

Once completed, the exhibit would grant unique perks to the park that would otherwise be impossible to attain. Such as a reduced requirement for dino variety that makes a park great in that category or an improved recovery rate for guest attendance after a dino escape disaster.

The Mosasaurus would never become unhappy and try to escape because it is not a player created enclosure in a traditional sense, but it is treated as a self contained structure like a bowling alley or an arcade.

If player decides to delete the completed exhibit for whatever reason and decides to re-build it, the entire lengthy construction process must be repeated once more (with all the necessary pre-requisites to be met again). So the player's long term commitment to this mega project is not to be taken lightly.

$500 million funding in total for 100% progress in construction is a good place to start.

It would be reflected as monthly deductions in the financial report until project completion. In the meantime, the park earnings would be in the red.

Suffice to say, the player must ensure that there are enough savings in the company coffers to cover the park's usual operating budget for the entire duration of the lagoon exhibit construction.

While i get where you're coming from and it is one way of handling it, i think that would just be the least satisfying way to handle this. There would be no control you have over building its environment, no involvement, nothing. Same for the aviary. I'd rather we get some sort of way to create our own exhibits for such animals if they become available.

I agree with this. It would be weird to have a natural lagoon as Isla Tacaño's and not using it for the Mosa's paddock, even if it doesn't fit the pre-set enclosure. Also, I always wondered why both JP and JW's Aviarys were built as domes when, having some nice, suitable canyon like Sorna's (movie), they could extend the enclosure along much the river's bed and high above the canyon's sides (which wouldn't make a dome)...

I also agree, I would worry that this would be an easy way out of actually allowing us to build exhibits for marine and flying reptiles. Yes, there might be some cool structures that come from this and i love your (CopperheadSG) idea of having "Monuments" to be built like in other city builders. just maybe not large attractions that we would all hope to build ourselves one day.

Of course, it goes without saying that to build the Mosasaurus exhibit in the same fashion as a T-Rex paddock is the most ideal approach.

It can technically challenging as the integration of this new exhibit must be seamless with the existing gameplay elements. As an example, is it the Ranger Rover Team or the ACU helicopter who is responsible for feeding the Mosasaurus? Does it ever get sick and require medication? Are the darts effective while it remains submerged? How does the Creation Lab interface with the water enclosure?

I don't really know what I should think of it. Of course a customizable enclosure for the water reptiles would be the best solution, but I can see the benefits for the developers in having those exhibits as buildings. Also I like the idea that it gives you bonuses when build.

On the other hand, the islands building space is already extremely limited so I wouldn't know where to put such enormous "Monuments".
