Most Common Zoo Pack

I wondered what animals that are in most zoos are still missing from the game. I found that zooinstitutes has a list of the most common zoo animals, so I thought I'd suggest a pack idea to bring some of the missing ones into the game.

  • Brown-nosed coati
  • Mandarin duck
  • East African crowned crane
  • African spurred tortoise
  • Inland bearded lizard

Most commonly kept animal pack would probably be barnyard 2 in disguise and im not sure how most people would feel about that?
This would be the most common animals in zoos that are not yet in game (exlcuding flying birds otherwise swap the swan and duck for budgies and blue macaw)
-Dwarf goat
-Domestic guinea pig
-Domestic rabbit
-Golden pheasant
-Shetland pony
-Mandarin duck
-Black swan
-Red eared slider (E)

I have a Domestic pack concept which is eerily similar, it contains:
Koi Carp
Tawny Owl
Wild Turkey
Wild Yak
African Pygmy Goat
Shetland Pony
I have the Mandarin Duck, Golden Pheasant and Red-Eared Slider in other dlc so..

I've heard that the Golden Pheasant is also up there
Correct. Other of the most common birds in captivity include: black swan; silver pheasant and helmeted guineafowl. Blue macaws and budgerigars are also quite common, but whether or not aviary birds will be added to the game is still debatable.

I'd say aviary birds that are small enough to fit in the walkthrough exhibits should go in there, but stuff like eagles really can't

Directly taking this list and removing flying birds and animals already in the game, you'd get:
African spurred tortoise
Mandarin duck
Black swan
Golden pheasant
Silver pheasant
Helmeted guineafowl
White stork
Red-eared slider (exhibit)

Literally six birds and two chelonians, which should tell you something about PZ's representation problem. If you combine bird "slots" to only have one ground fowl, one waterfowl, and one wading bird, and also remove the slider (which is just as often found in outdoor ponds as in tanks, if not more) you'd get something like:
African spurred tortoise
Mandarin duck
Golden pheasant
White stork
Patagonian mara
Cotton-top tamarin
South American coati
Central bearded dragon (exhibit)

Which is a much more reasonable list, but from Frontier's perspective would still lack a star animal that would appeal to people other than core zoo nerds. Note, again, that the list consists almost entirely of birds and South American mammals.

This is, as I've confirmed, what you get from Zootierliste's species counts. If you remove domestics, it would look like:
Golden pheasant
African spurred tortoise
Mandarin duck
Black swan
Greater rhea
White stork
Mouflon
Red-eared slider (exhibit)
