Most efficient appeal per area

Did a test on appeal per area. Chose to do Tylosaurus in a 7 section lagoon vs Giganotos in a 4x4 enclosure vs Diplo, Iguan, Steg in a 4x4 enclosure. A 7 section lagoon is just slightly larger than a 4x4 enclosure. It's easy to get full coverage on both with a gallery and 2 platforms. I hatched a humble alpha for all species first and never had any issues with fighting over a long period of time. Only issues were disease for the lagoon and the Giganotos and Stegs destroying ranger vehicles.

Pushing right up to the 70% comfort threshold the Tylos definitely beat out the big carnivores at 5 for 8305 rating vs 6 for 5868. The big surprise though is that the herbivores are the best. 15 Diplos, 17 Iguans, and 14 Stegs for a total of 9778 rating in a 4x4. That takes longer than getting 10 batches of Tylos for 5 good ones though.

Didn't expect the herbivores to be the most space efficient. These 3 enclosures combined are worth 24,000 appeal.

Oh wow. That is surprising about the herbivores. Would be invaluable info for SW USA, since every strategy leans on carnivores.

None of those herbivores are available on that map I don't think though. Maybe something like Ankylosaurus, Ourano and Amarga would work but that'd be ground leaf, fruit and fiber. Although there are no forest requirements on that map so it'd probably be about the same. This map was tall fruit (ground fruit), ground fiber and forest so it's still 3 things. It seems like they balanced everything somewhat so anything works really. Like if i used Alberto instead of Gigonoto i'd probably have fit in 12 instead of 6 since they are worth half. Same with Euoplocephalus and Ankylosaurus - i'd bet you can fit 20 Euops in an enclosure that would fit 10 Anks.

So it seems like you can really just pick your favorite dinos, get a humble alpha, and make a ton of them. No matter what you chose you should have more than enough room on any challenge map. Just make them until large amenities fill up then start on another enclosure. That's probably the point of the species penalty but, especially with the humble trait, it's not even close to high enough to actually force you to get rid of it to be able to fit in enough appeal on the map.
