A small qeastion, that I've been wondering now, what is the most fastest ship in the game as of the small fighters: Eagles, Cobras, Vipers & Couriers [h=1][/h]Along with this qeastion, what is the most powerful fighting ship, out of the ones I listed below



Last qeastion is: What do you do with your Imp-Eagle/Courier

Cobra has the fastest top speed with a useful loadout, by a wide margin.

Courier and Viper both have amazing acceleration. The Viper, in particular, has I think the strongest boost in the game. While top speed is useful for escaping, the acceleration is more useful in a fight.

Of the small fighters you listed, Courier is the most powerful, although you can still do extremely well in a Viper.

Are other ships getting upgrades?

Cuz I'll like to see the Python to be un-nerfed and maybe have the Imp-Eagle Buffed

I see so, I have a Corba already, so top speed, nice and the Courier is the most powerful in fighting eh?, I'll have to see what other ships get upgrades and see if the Viper becomes the fastest ship

"For those using smaller ships, in particular the Sidewinder, Faulcon de Lacey have introduced performance enhanced size 2 and 3 drives. Incredible fun for racing, they also give Commanders an extra bit of zip that can make all the difference in a dangerous encounter"

It's doesn't mean they got +1 size thrusters.Rather be there are going to be enchanted thruster by Engineers.size 2 and size 3

There's one small fighter missing in your list which you might want to take a look at: Vulture. I think it beats the Courier as a fighter in every aspect except speed. I'd say it's the strongest small fighter in game.

I'm not certain but I think this is part of update 1.6 not 2.1 Engineers have a look at newsletter 120, the Engineers section is at the bottom so I believe the thruster upgrade is unrelated.

@ Siobhan I'd have to agree my Python has been relegated to trader/mining with a little BH on the side :(

Damm Right, I'm wanting to get the Python due to its such a nice looking ship and its Multi-Pep, this needs her fangs back, as in this rate I might just have to stick with my older idea and get the FDL (Fer-De-Lance)



Is there any info of the Python getting a update or Un-Nerf?, cuz the FDL beats it in no time, as the Python is heavy and slow and has ok, jump range, but other then that its a flying rock, ready to be killed.

Vulture is only "small" in the sense that it (barely) fits on a small pad. In every other way, it's a medium ship / heavy fighter.

A ship labelled small is a small ship in my eyes, even if it's the largest small ship in game. Also it definitely flies like a small ship in my opinion, as it's the most agile ship in game. And it looks small too.

TL;DR: fastest ship cobra mk III, most acceleration: courier, beats even both vipers (but just so).

i use my courier for bounty hunting and combat oriented multipurpose mission gameplay; if you outfit it with a class 2 shield (~10% less MJ shields), you can put an undersized powerplant on it, and it get's close to 60% optimal thruster mass - handling like an eagle on steroids. as a small ship with small thrusters it can't handle weight very well, so I'm really looking forward to the 2.1. thruster upgrades.

viper has the same "problem" - it has small thrusters compared to its hullmass - and it is harder to outfit it for speed.

i personally think, a viper prepares you better for the medium and large combat ships - but the courier is more fun.

i don't use the imperial eagle, i prefer the original one - it teaches you not to hull-tank and to think ahead.

Thank you so much for this, I might just get the Courier then, but I might think I'll get my Corba MK3 Back



Unsure yet!

Tho Before I do buy any ships, I wait for the new update
