Most of the time you observe the galaxy, Sometimes it observes back.

I always feel like somebody's watching me

It is the Cave Nebula viewed from Cave Sector HR-W D1-9, I was passing through on my way to NGC 7822 from the veil nebula west when I saw this nebula plotting something sinister.

Which nebula is this? Has anyone visited the pillars of creation in Orion yet?

You mean these?

Sorry to disappoint you, but they are not included in ED (https://www.reddit.com/r/eliteexplorers/comments/2zuuz9/pillars_of_creation/).

Though I don't want to seem like a smartass (not again), but they should be located in the Eagle's Nebula, which is iirc in the opposite direction from sol than Orion (you can see the constellation of Eagle in summer, while Orion is the most prominent winter constellation).
