Soon I return to where I came from and will be doubling down on training. With that being said, my wife has asked for a list of movies she should watch. What is the latest movie you have seen? You don't necessarily need to post a list of your all time favorite titles, but you can if you like.

Edit: She loves all types of movies. The last movie she watched was Colonia (imagine that!) or The Colony with Emma Watson.

i can really recommend "The Arrival" - not only because its scifi.

and "The Handmaiden" of Park Chan-wook... but better check the reviews first, it's an amazing director, but many people dislike his movies, for sure not stuff for everyone.

And Olivier Assayas "Personal Shopper" was very interesting, great stuff!

That's the last three GOOD movies i have seen. passengers was awfull...

(as you can see, I'm an arthouse-victim)

Watch The Martian if you haven't already.

Mad Max: Fury Road if you want awesome spectacle.

If you want to watch something terrible, that everyone thinks is great, watch Jurassic World.

I just watched this and it reminded me of the Elite lore about the early generation ships that didn't have FSDs and HS capability. I was immediately into Space Engine mode* (mostly) because it gives the ability to cross the interstellar void seamlessly and recreate the feelings I had during the movie.

I recently watched Dr Strange.

IT WAS AWESOME! Best Marvel movie by a considerable margin. Here, for once...

...is a Marvel character who gets his special abilities through hard work and dedication. A man of talent, who uses his talents to the fullest, and isn't granted power by sitting next to a radioactive generator and getting green cancer (Hulk), through steroid and performance enhancing drugs (Cpt America), through being absurdly wealthy (Ironman), or through being a god from the very outset (Thor).

Visual effects are the most impressive I've ever seen in a movie too.

The latest thing I saw was Lego Batman, and it was very entertaining. I grew up a comic book nerd though (Marvel, not DC).

Likewise. Though Netflix has a full complement of Forensic Files and I enjoy chain watching that.

Watched Prometheus the other night. Second time since it was released. It's still trash... makes me leery of the upcoming Covenant movie.

Last movie I watched on Netflix was "Harlock: Space Pirate".
I'm currently watching "Gantz: O"

Last movie I saw at the cinema was "T2 Trainspotting"

Last film I saw on TV was "Armageddon" and the one before that was "Hot Fuzz".

I've heard a number of people say "Watch 'The Arrival'" so I'll probably be watching that in the next couple of days.

edit: If you haven't watched it yet, I thoroughly recommend "John Wick" for cheesy OTT brainless action movie. :)

Was never a fan of cheers unfortunately. Nothing about the show itself, just can't stand the main male actor. Though in recent movies and shows he is pretty good.

Love Netflix. They tend to have a better selection then normal television and I enjoy bing watching myself, when I have time.

Wow that is an older piece. Didn't expect that from you. If its the film I am thinking of. From our last messages I thought you were much younger than this film is... lol

One of my favorite pieces is the Shinning (original).
