Most spectacular sights in VR?

So, i spontaneously decided to build a DBX (because i never tried it and i grew tired of the AspX) and take to on a trip (say ~5k Ly around the bubble), I also just got the Rift, so why not combine it. I had been at Colonia last year. Now i would like to go up and experience the galaxy from above. I imagine this is a spectacular sight in VR.

Do you have any recommendation for the specific destination, or things to visit around the bubble that are particularly breathtaking in VR?

PS#1: I only have access to G4 FSD, and i am not sure if i want to search mats for G5 before i go on the trip, unless you say that it is highly recommended for some reason.

PS#2: I it feasible to use the neutron highway in VR without copy/paste&alt-tab? If so, how?

Hm, I don't know about specific destinations, but looking at things from your SRV might be the best, so that you get the best sense of scale.
However, you might want to drive carefully, lest you get nauseous from tumbling around. Although I think there are options to have the camera always be level in SRVs.

Oh, and with a DBE, you should have plenty of jump range even with a G4 FSD mod.

Although, especially when this is a first experience with VR, I would probably still choose the Asp for that because of the better view. You will probably not be bored of it in this case.

No no no, i won't spend any more time in this bloated ravioli that brakes like a freight train. :D
I already did a few sightseeing missions in the bubble with the AspX in VR. Yes, the Asp has better view, but the view in the DBX is not bad. I just spend 80% of my game in the Asp, super versatile ship. But since i got a Python i struggle each time i have to use the Asp for its superior jump range, which effectively made me avoid long distance travel. Yesterday, i realized that the DBX got significantly buffed since its release, and i am very motivated to try it out. So, win-win.

Land on Mitterand Hollow, get in your SRV and watch the sky!

Buy a docking computer, position yourself around the back of a big station, get docking permission and come to a stop (so the docking computer takes over). Then get out of your seat (carefully), stand with one hand on the back of your pilots chair for balance, point forwards with your other hand and say "make it so". Enjoy!

Oh, one more ... get in a T6 (or other ship with windows down at floor level), park your ship close by a nice big star (one with lots of solar flares and stuff), get out of the chair, lie face down on the floor by one of the windows resting your chin on your hands ... enjoy the view!

You may want to look at some 3rd party apps like OVRDrop or UVROverlay, to allow you to see your desktop or specific apps in your VR space. I use OVRDrop to mirror my desktop into my cockpit, so it appears like a laptop. I also use UVROverlay to display a video/music player, positioned to look like it's part of my ship display.

And how do you operate it without mouse and keyboard? Say, the browser with a list of neutron stars on you way?

I still use a mouse and keyboard for interaction with the web browser. However, if you just have a web page open with a static list of stars, then you just have the list sitting there and glance at it when you need it. In my case, I have OVRDrop with a toggle on/off key bound(F1). when I need to look at my list of stars or whatever, I just hit F1. Or, using Voice Attack, I say "open desktop" and my OVRDrop window magically appears.
