Most Underrated South American Animal

I guess I’m going to do this with the other continents as well. What are some South American animals, both in the game and not in the game, that are not talked about enough in the Planet Zoo community/forums? Here are some of mine:
  • Screaming Hairy Armadillo
  • Silky Anteater
  • Woolly Monkeys
  • Chinchilla
  • Pacarana
  • Lowland Paca
  • Jaguarundi
  • Crab-Eating Fox
  • Kinkajou
  • Olinguito
  • Southern Pudú
  • Orinoco Crocodile
  • Caiman Lizard
  • Andean Condor

One commonly-kept South American species I definitely think doesn't get enough attention is the black-necked swan. It combines the features of both the white European swans and the Australian black swan, whilst also representing the southern areas of South America that so far have few if any animals. I think they would be one of the ideal first waterfowl species for the game.

Such a good waterfowl choice although I’m still hoping for the Muscovy duck!

Of the animals in-game, I'd say that both the llama and even the capuchin are underrated.

The llama got tons of hate since its introduction, apparently, and even though reception towards it has improved, I don't see it talked about at all.
I personally love llamas

The Colombian white-faced capuchins are underrated because, despite being the only SA monkey, I never hear people talking about them other than to state that they're the only New World monkey. I don't see people build for them or talk about them in the best possible way, just simply: "we have these. We need more"

About animals not in the game, the most underrated used to be the greater rhea. For a long time, especially before the emu, it was looked down on and people did not want it at the time, many considering it useless or too repetitive with the ostrich (which, ironically, is why we needed it, because of the role it'd play, mirroring the ostrich in mixed African habitats but instead being South American habitats). However, now the greater rhea is getting much more attention.
Other animals I'd say are underrated now would probably be the Muscovy duck. I see them often, and while it's not the typical duck, it's still a recognizable animal and would be fantastic to have for more SA rep plus petting zoos

Agreed entirely.

The animal not in the game that’s really underrated is the bush dog. They are seriously cute and relatively unique in the dog family but there is very little discussion about them. Especially since they’re really common in zoos!

I think there's a bit more talk and want for them here, but I don't know about other platforms. I'd like them; they'd be different than anything we have in-game and would likely require a pool of water or something

Ingame:
Idk if id even call on underrated tbh. Since there are so few, you kind of are stuck with them and have to use them.
I guess the llama is what comes closest

Not in game:
Easily tegus for me. They are common in zoos and are a plausible habitat lizards that are not monitors for once.
Also from a realism stand point they are also cool because they are alot more tolerant climate wise than other reptiles, so they even make more sense as habitat animals than other reptiles in the first place

In game: Llama. So many people do not like or appreciate the Llama, yet I see them as an integral part of South America's fauna.

Not in the game - everyone needs to get on the Brazilian Porcupine train. They bring a level of cuteness that's hard to match.
Llamas are great as long as we would get even one wild form of SA camelids.

Yeah Llama is probably in a similar situation as the dingo was. Where it wasnt really the ideal pick when there was such a lack of animals for the region.

I disagree… The llama is the iconic South American animal that everyone knows and recognises. The tapir, jaguar, capybara or anteater don’t have that
