Motion platform not responding only during jump sequence to another system

When my ship jumps to hyper space(another system) my motion platform (rs mega thanos controller with srs software) seems to turn off and then startup right after the jump is finished and working like nothing was wrong. The platform even drops to the park position but only during a system jump not when enter supercruise or anything else it just works. Is this normal, seems off but I have only just recently tried ed with my motion platform. Responds in all other situations just not during the jump and as soon as it is over it comes back. Any ideas? Do other people have this happen, what does you motion platform do during a system jump?

Thanks in advance.

No idea myself - but your question might be better placed in the "PC" subforum (which tends to collect more of the hardware related questions). Sure, you get more exposure here, but if nobody replies, you'll also drop easily off the bottom of the first page.

That's normal because the "hyper space" you are seeing is just a cut scene/movie and not really game play...so there is no game motion for your controller to interrupt during the "hyper space" cut scene.

Question I have is what ED output drives the motion platform?
While it may be a cut scene, there's no reason why FDev couldn't output whatever it is they output for motion platforms that would make it vibrate at a minimum.
I'm jealous, I SOOOOO want a motion platform, but my home office is too small and I doubt I would get away with something like this in the living room :D

I don't have a motion platform (yet!) but it's great to hear you can couple them to Elite, your issue notwithstanding.

If you can't resolve it, is it possible to edit the "park" position to be more tilted up, so it feels like you're being pressed into your seat by acceleration during a jump?

Do you know if the motion platform gets its position information from the game or by listening to the same player input devices (HOTAS etc) that the game listens to? ie does full stick deflection produce the same effect regardless of how rapidly the ship turns (response is based on controller input), or is the platform response based on the ship dynamics, not the controller?

Umm, sorry to bear bad news but - sadly - my understanding is that you can only do this by means deemed to be in violation of the EULA.

Can you elaborate?

(Regardless, my understanding is that plenty of games don't support such exotic hardware so it's pretty common to use the alternative method where you simply drive them from the controller output. It's not quite as accurate since it won't include in-game-only forces like the ship colliding with something, but it at least gives you some flight forces that feel right)
