Apparently after the latest Windows 10 update (creator update), many people with various types of mouse makes are losing functionality of their mouse side buttons within various games. I lost my side buttons in ED:H which had been mapped to the two maps. The buttons continue to work outside of games (for example, I use my buttons for forward/backward in my browser and they still work there). My Alienware drivers/utility won't reload, and no longer show up on my Start Menu, although the mouse still shows as a TactX mouse in the control panel.
I just changed my ED settings for the maps, but it's a PITA since I had things the way I wanted them. Anyway, just a "heads up" to anyone else that updates to the Creator version of Win 10 you may have problems in some of your games.
We can argue the wisdom of using Win 10 in any version, but I hadn't had any real problems with it until this point, other than updating some newer drivers for a couple things.
Now I'll wait around and let Alienware and M$ argue about who should make the needed update to get things working right again.
Regards.........
