Move Ships & Sell Ships

As a n00b, I was just completely surprised to receive confirmation that, in ED, ...
  1. you can't sell a ship unless you're at the station the ship is stored at
  2. you can't jump to the location a ship is stored at with a key stroke (understandable if it's a simulation of real life / immersion thing)
  3. you can't have a ship ferried to you

Re: 1
Please ... why not give us the ability to sell a ship remotely? Earth is a networked world in 2015. I can use the phone & other devices to arrange for the sale of anything I want from wherever I am. It's unimaginable that, in ED's year, we can't do the same.

Re: 2
If devs were simply trying to simulate real life inconveniences, I'm SO GLAD I haven't found any clogged toilets in Elite Dangerous (yet?).

Re: 3
I'm hearing that "ship delivery" is, or once was, considered by the Dev team. If you want to simulate real life, this is a big chance to do so ... Imagine contracting out to have someone ferry your ship. You have to wait until that pilot finishes the job (just as in real life). You, and the contractor, assume a certain amount of risk if the ship is damaged/destroyed. It seems like a role that could be filled by CMDRs -- both online & offline.

Thank you for your time & consideration. :)

I don't think we should be allowed to jump directly to a location a ship is located, but I agree with 1 and 3. Selling a ship from a different location shouldn't be an issue. You should also be able to sell a ship to pay off an insurance payout, if you lost the ship you were currently flying and didn't have enough liquid assets to pay. I also always thought that getting a ship ferried to you would be a good idea, but never considered the possibility of having another CMDR do it for a fee. That could be interesting if you chose to accept it - especially if the CMDR decided the ship was worth more than your fee and chose to run off with it!
