My PVR is going to be heavier by the end of the week.

Hunt for Red October nearly made my list...
LOVE Cat Balou from my childhood and OMG the Invention of Lying is one of those films you need to see to make you hate Ricky Gervais a little bit less..

Yep! I have to agree with you there. I hope the fact that it's a Ricky Jervais movie doesn't stop anyone from watching it.

And don't forget High Noon. What an amazing movie! There's a reason that such an old movie is still so highly regarded. I just watched it a couple of years back. I'd forgotten how good it was, and I think I understood the black humour in it a bit better as well. The script writers were really really upset about McCarthyism and they vented all their frustrations out on this film.

Thanks for that Frank, I will definately give it a going over!! High noon you say?? *sniff* well Pilgrim...get of yer hoss an pick your cheese..

Love this thread, saves me from having to scour the TV listings. Some crackers in that lot but given the time limitations of everyday life I'm going for The Invention of Lying and High Noon. Happy days

I liked Sin City..... but it is missing that special something.. I think the paint splatter blood effects are taken a little bit too far...

I liked the movie, and would probably watch it again if it doesn't clash with Glee..

I'm detecting a recurring musical theme here...

Should we assume you will be conducting your piracy missions musical stylee - and that you will be singing your ransom demands over the comms channel?

You could gain great notoriety as the singing pirate!

:D

Is notoriety something you really want to encourage? I'll be keeping a low profile.. just saying to any pirates I meet that I'm just going to tip-toe around to do a bit of trading on the planet behind them... If that's okay with them.

Wow! that's quite a rapid surge for Franklyn. What do I watch in the event of a tie?

Psyskokow, I reckon seeing as it's your poll, you get to cast the deciding vote. But give it a couple of hours yet to allow for stragglers.
