Movie Universe Pack (Jurassic Park Series)

Hope there will be skins for the vehicles and buildings as well. Would love the classic JP 1992 red wrangler skin for the ranger jeep. Or even an Ingen type one from TLW

There is no offical word on any dlc or anything like that

I mean Michael Brooks did say they are going to take the Elite Dangerous model when it comes to DLC's and addons. That game has quite a bit so I'd say it's safe to say this game will as well

Remember though that ED is the sole property of Frontier. JWE is partnered with universal so there is more hoops to jump through with what can and can't be in the game ie: children. So we have no idea what they will do. I personally trust frontier, but am not getting Hope's up.

If the game is a success, why shouldn't they make dlc?
They also stated that they will support the game after launch.

Maybe what Andrew meant was that they are very generous in this project? In such that there will not be a single dlc but comes with tons and tons of non-stop free content updates? 😂

They may make DLC in the future and I would be surprised if they didn't, but because they don't fully own the license they may have restrictions o what they can do for dlc.

Andrew, no offense but from my point of view, instead of viewing Universal as the villain/obstruction/restriction, I think it's fairer to see them as a loyal partner. As long as the ideas make sense, benefit all parties, I don't see them as an extra step, a barrier. They are more like a guardian to make fans happy. Don't forget, they are in that business as well. So, I think it's better to discuss if we like the idea or not.

I like this idea! Particularly with having all the raptor versions.

I'm with Andrew. We have to think pragmatically about this when it comes to our expectations. Keep in mind, speculation of a Fallen Kingdom DLC made people think there was to be one and resulted in threads like "What do you expect from the Fallen Kingdom DLC?" But there is no known Fallen Kingdom DLC. There is no confirmed DLC at all. Ground your expectations.

Regardless of what you may think, Universal is an extra step. If Universal says no to something, it's a firm no. Frontier needs Universal's guidance and approval, even if the two parties have a well founded relationship in regards to development. This isn't just something you can dance around with. There are major legal involvements at play and Universal is one of the giants of the film industry.

That's not to say I don't trust Frontier or don't expect DLC or future content. I do, but I also realize I shouldn't fill my head with ideas and possibilities that don't or may not exist.

Agreed with reminding people with unfounded speculation. If people start to think that the DLC is confirmed, one must stands out immediately to state the facts - so that people will not ended up buying something that isn't there. But if people is only suggesting ideas or asking questions, it will be totally counter-productive in any attempt to shut them down (more than likely, unintentionally).

Never once did I suggest in any way that Frontier is not legally bound to Universal's approval. What I said is - DO NOT PUT WORDS into Universal mouths unless if one is someone in the decision-making position in Universal. Please, be fair, just that one thinks Universal won't do that - doesn't at all mean they won't. Also, if they didn't do a thing in the past, that doesn't at all mean that they have no intention in doing the thing in the future. At the very end, ideally, I believe what Universal will do, is largely depends on fans' position and the value of the idea. Hence, I think it's nothing more important here than the freedom of speech - for people to state their thinking freely so that ideal connections can at least be approached.

Please be noted, I never said Andrew did any of the above. I just shared that a different concept should be adopted in such that - please don't feel there is a barrier, just express your ideas as freely as possible but obviously, keep in mind that ideas may not always be adopted.

Edited: Message to Andrew - I respect you in many ways man. Sorry if I offended you.

Understood and perfectly fine. I didn't mean to insinuate that you were suggesting that. I just want to avoid simplifying something that can be pretty complicated lol.

We're all on the same boat!

I'd really like a skin for the jeeps! And maybe too much but having the automated car circuit I would definetly paid a DLC that include that as well :)

There should be. Most games these days have Alt. Skin related DLC. Especially Dinosaur games.

And, if all else fails, there is always the PC Modding community.
They alone have kept JPOG relevant, even to this day.

I can just imagine what they'll do for JWE.
