Moving away from local cluster of star systems

Been playing for quite a few weeks now. Have a Cobra with range of 12LY I think having upgraded engine modules etc.

I seem to move around a fair few systems but always seem to come back round to same areas. Do other players find that they would have to deliberately strip their craft back for range to get away to new areas?

Presently started in Aiabiko

I started out mining in the outer skirts of Fed space (200 ly from Sol'ish). But due to the stupid rep system and some misunderstandings of how cargo picked up at USS's gets reported as a bad thing when scanned (in the beginning), I moved to the Empire. They seem to love me as an ally.

Now though I got an ASP and enough money to kit it as an explorer. So I'll do a few rank missions still and then I'm off to "somewhere" far far away. Galactic center or some of the nebulas.

I dont feel particularly interested in getting my Asp knocked out in a warzone, trading is extremely boring, mining is only fun when there are pirates around to do some pew pew - and bounty hunting also becomes stale after a while. So strip down to D level components soon and then off to explore.

So you're bored with everything, and heading off to where there is nothing. Interesting. |Good luck with that. If you find the missing game out there, let us know.

It is common to not stray too awful far from the starting zones until you get into a cobra or bigger. Once you get into something with a decent jump range, you then have the option of spreading your wings so to speak. Once into a cobra, you have the option of doing the rares circuit quite profitably, and once you get into an Asp/L-6 or bigger, it boils down to what you feel like doing where.

I'm sitting in an Asp, yet havn't got the urge to move along. I've got a rather good trade route going, along which almost all stations are meanwhile friendly or allied, giving me the best paying missions. I'll stick around until I'm done with the Feds and then move to Empire space.

i tend to head back to what i regard as my home system even after long exploration and rare commodity trading sessions in my asp. it was where i was put in gamma, I'm allies with three starports and it feels comfy

My Cobra can jump about 17 LYs (was more before I armed it up ;)), I quite often go back to my starting area (Raksha) but I venture out a lot, rare trading, helping rebels against the empire oh & exploring en route ;).
