Newcomer / Intro Moving Stored Ships

Hi All

Still a newbie. The other day I was docked in Eravate in my Eagle and in the services menu. I was looking at other ships in the purchase screen and noticed the tabs for my ship locations and ships I had stored. My sidey was shown under 'ship locations' but my Adder was shown under 'ships stored'. I was able to have my Adder moved/transferred to Eravate from whereever it was without me having to leave the dock or pay anything (not that I am aware of anyway).

So, 2 questions:

1. How did my Adder get put into storage as opposed to just being shown as at a location like the sidey?
2. How was I able to have my Adder brought to me in Eravate when I can't replicate this or see any other threads on it? I didn't think we could do this.

Can anyone explain?

Your adder must have been stored there. When you buy a ship you can store your current ship there. You can swap your current ship with any ship stored at that base. If you want to move them you have to do it yourself with the use of a disposable taxi, normally a sidey or hauler
