I'm sure it has been asked for a plenty but can we have a mp3 console in the down HUD so we can play music in flight?

I would really prefer that the game stay as lean as possible.
Running your music in a separate program, or separate device such as a cell phone, means the game isn't managing the music As Well as the actual game play. Each extraneous function added to the game degrades the performance of the core functions by some amount.
