I posted this thread a little while ago discussing possible Taxi Service features for Multi-Crew ships. It was suggested I post it here.
Please consider the following for Multi-Crew:
Commander Taxi Service - allow guest Crew Member players to access the Shipyard whilst docked at a Station. This would let Crew select ships to purchase, or select their own Stored Ships, and transfer from the Multi-Crew ship into their own.
Let ship owners optionally restrict Crew access to Ship controls, so they are restricted to being a pasenger sat in a seat on the Bridge.
An example of this in play would be:

An example of this in play would be:
- "Passenger" player requests to join the "Taxi Driver's" Multi-Crew.
- Taxi Driver allocates the Passenger "No Permissions", or similar, in regards to accessing Crew Roles (instead of "Weapons", or "Engineering" allocate "Passenger", or something).
- Passenger sits in a seat on the Bridge, can chat to Driver and look about, maybe have Read-Only access to Ship UI.
- Driver proceeds on journey to Passenger's requested destination.
- If the ship encounters trouble en route allow the Driver to reallocate the Passenger some active Multi-Crew roles (allow them to man Weapons turret if an emergency occurs for example).
- Driver docks at destination port and the Passenger is then able to access the local Shipyard in order to vacate the Taxi for either a newly purchased ship, or a previously stored ship.
