Newcomer / Intro multi hop trade - identifying good starter system?

Good Evening All,

I'm on the brink of having a half decent ship for trade and have tried EDDB.io to discover multi hop trade routes. My current system (Rhea) isn't giving me much at the moment.

My question is how can you identify systems using the galaxy map or third party websites which maybe a good starting system? ideally not to far away from my current system as well!

Good trade routes are heavily influenced by State which changes every few days, so you cant rely on 1 route or place to sustain you.

Well, for trade you'd probably be looking for a highly populated system with lots of economic production, preferably in a Boom state, to start with.
Try using the filters on the Galaxy map to see if there are any such close by. Industrial systems buy metals and minerals from Extraction/Refineries, and export goods to High Tech and Agricultural ones.
