Hardware & Technical Multi-monitor with GTX 960M ?

Hi,

I have an unusual Windows All-in-One device which has a NVidia GTX 960M and I'm wondering if it can be made to run in a multi-monitor setup (yes, I have 3 active displays, 2x 1920x1080 and one 1920x1280). There is certainly enough horsepower (i7, 32G RAM) and the 960M happily chugs along regardless of quality settings. The displays run in an Extended setup and work as expected in "regular applications".

The "oops" part:
- This is an 960M, so no easy surround gaming according to http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/technology/surround/supported-gpus . Oh well. I would try simply setting Windowed and a large res, but...
- For some reason E:D has peculiar limits on the possible resolutions, even if set to Windowed or Borderless
- The 1920x1080 displays have ONLY 1920x1080 as the possible resolution
- The 1920x1280 display allows 1920x1080, 1920x1280 and 256x160 (!?)

Even if I fidget with the resolutions in DisplaySettings.xml after a brief flash of a "right size" black window almost immediately E:D switches back to 1080p. Tried the full virtual desktop res and 640x480 and it behaves the same way.

Ideas, advices on how to make E:D cooperate with this setup welcome.
