Multi-Role Commanders

I'm not one to complain, so I'll state my own little opinion. Something is still off with the NPC's loadout/weapons firing abilities.
Mission stated I would be attacked, so I wasn't surprised when it happened. I don't know what the FGS was firing, but I managed to escape with a cracked canopy, and 24% hull on my a-rated python. It took about 30 seconds from when it started its attack. FA off, boost, upwards thrusters, corkscrewing, didn't matter, it didn't miss a shot.
Also, something new, when your shields are down, but re-starting or re-booting, and you go to cruise, the shields reset to off, and start rebooting, when you drop out, they go to zero and you have to wait for the the whole process again.

Not to tell you you ain't right - I wasn't there after all - but a FGS can deal an awful amount of damage. Did you use chaff?

When you have a high rank in combat yoi loterally murdered thousands of people.

I'm at Competent rank and 39% in, and I'd say over 95% of those I "murdered" I did so in self defence fighting off interdictions. If I'd stopped to kill everyone that had a pop at me I'd be nearly at Elite by now.

Edit: Anyway, thought I'd add that I'm mostly a trader come explorer with only a passing interest in combat, and I can't say I like the new changes either. Have put the game on hold for a while until they sort this mess out, as currently it feels like I'm being punished for opting for a mostly non combat orientated play style.

Personally, I'm still trying to figure out how rank influences npc rank. I'm an elite trader, ranger, and competent. Early on last night I was taking some Elite ranked mission and was seeing no serious harassment from npcs. Later on, I was taking some low ranked missions just to collect material rewards and was attacked a number of times by elite npcs - once when I had no missions and only a few reward commodities. On one mission I was redirected to a system in civil war and wasn't bothered. The station controller even warned me as I was docking that it wasn't safe which I thought was cool.

Btw, to those saying the npcs no longer have mods, I'm aware of the announcement but you'll have to explain to me why I was seeing green lasers passing by as I was escaping from an elite npc less than 12 hours ago.

Point defence has green lasers, maybe its your own.

Thanks, I didn't know that although if it was my point defense, I'm not sure what it was firing at. The beams were firing forward in pairs as if the npc was firing a barrage at me from behind. But I do have my ships equipped with point defense now and I thought it strange that they all seemed to be missing me.
