Somebody, please, let Sleutelbos know he is in my ignore list (and the only one worthy of that honor). I been told he keeps answering to my posts, but he still doesn't realize that I will never reply to him. :cool:

I'm going to try this approach with my clients: Detailed outline of what I'll produce, with some fuzzy caveat that it may not look exactly like that at the end of the process. Pocket cash upfront.

Get their cash in. Deliver less than half of what was suggested. Point to said vague caveats and blame a lack of time, resources and things "not quite working as envisaged".

Suggest I may revisit the job at some undetermined future date. Go about selling the next up update that'll almost certainly have these amazing features for just £25...

Unfortunately it seems like things in the games business are different.
 
I hoped for a change in this update for a more concise, fleshed and complex features in gameplay mechanics because of what was talked before in the presentation more than a year back.

But we get again an oversimplified major feature with a promise to revisit later but we know this will never happen since wings and the count is going on.

So this game is continually built around placeholders that will stay as permanent features for years. Aside from the graphics Elite is comparable to a cellphone game and this is really lamentable.

I am quietly waiting for the update to hit live, which may be today. I dont have beta access, but i wonder if i m getting it right. We all know that this update wont deliver even half of what was promiced and thats exactly whats keeping me from feeling hyped for all the rest of it, but.. can someone tell me why we wont get even the things that look very easy to implement like:

Passing the helm to others by permissions (mentioned in the stream)
Crew members able to plot route (mentioned in the stream)
Everyone in the ship can deploy in multiple SRV's. (mentioned in the stream)

All of the above look very simple to put into the game since existing mechanics can be used. Only some extra menu options seems to be needed.
Am i right or some of those will be in this update?

i really hope (and to be honest expect) improvements to come in time.

SRV use in MC is arguably the coolest thing to do in MC (1 in srv, 1 in SLF one in ship doing a base assault) esp is the mission was a covert one and you could only get 1 ship through undetected so would give a real feeling that MC has an actual purpose over just "fun".

SRV use in MC was clearly part of the plan up until the 11th hr as it is shown in the actual alien trailer........ so i think there is good reason to be optimistic there is more to come in MC.

in 12 months time if it is exactly the same feel free to rub my face in this post.!.
