Multicrew and Non-Horizons players

Does anyone know if it will be possible for non-Horizons owners to join you in multi-crew? Not pilot the ship, but at least play the role of gunner/navigator? I can't see that hurting Horizons bottom line, and it would allow for a wider playerbase maybe?

Well non horizon owners don't have any way to mod and it is a horizons season thin so i can't see them getting multi crew either.

indeed, its unlikely i would say given it is the major "thing" in an entire point release (tho I just cant see how it can be all that to be honest but will wait and see).

At some point this year horizons is bound to be £10 in a steam sale...... anyone who has any interest in ED what so ever surly can bring themselves to part with that?

if not then, I guess players will have to be happy with the core game.

Multicrew is a feature of the Horizons season pass (namely 2.3). It is VERY unlikely any non-Horizons owners will be able to take advantage of this feature in any form whatsoever.

P.S: Why wouldn't you pick up Horizons now? It's become fairly cheap and even the current features (landing and driving on planets, and modding your components) is well worth the price, let alone the features still to come, including multicrew, launchable fighters, passenger missions, commander portrait creation, and whatever mystery feature that 2.4 is supposed to add.

Non-Horizons players will not get access to other players' bridge seats, and Horizons owners will fervently defend this design choice, not realizing that it's their own chance of notable player interaction which they are diminishing.

Or if you prefer a forecast in a more dramatic tone: every Horizons owner is going to want to be captain, but non-Horizons players can't be crew members, because "those cheap, filthy non-captains don't deserve to be captained by me, the greatest of captains".
