Multicrew madmen (The psychopath of open)

How will these people be prevented?

I can see this scenario happen. Someone is trading (or any other activity really) and would like a gunner, a person joins up and is chatty. But right when docking procedure is beginning, this person opens fire on the station and leaves the ship. Result.... A rebuy along with cargo lost and another person leaving open.

And this person will just hide behind the current "Play it your way".

Of course, I can see this going both ways, for all the people that have been saving names of the current open murdering psychopaths

Only the Helm should be able to deploy hard point, not checked if that's how it's currently working in beta. :)

Well, it works bountyhunting as well, just start shooting cops when there is plenty of those.. And the reasoning, "I hate the cops!". There is way currently to many scenarios where it will be easy to ruin other peoples play sessions, and I just dont see this becomming less with multicrew.

I would just like to know if there is a way to counter this other than group play.

Don't let unknown players onto your ship - or don't use multi-crew with your ship.

Lean back, watch the forums explode into discussions, enjoy the ever repeating show.

Multi-player in this game is meaningless and nothing more than lulzfarming or salt mining. Join them or ignore them. "They" have won long ago.

Well no one (random people) will ever join to be your gunner if they don't intent to troll you. There is nothing for the gunner to do out side combat, so 99% people willing to join in as gunner to ship outside combat will troll you. But while in combat only 50% will troll you. Its pretty much everything the gunner can do.

Its likely that even friends will rather have little fun by trolling you/killing your ship, as its more fun to troll than be the gunner.
