Was planning on doing something like this myself, hope you have saved me the hassle!!

Also, can you do a full UI run down video, it is one of the things that gets people a little befuddled at the start I think.

I'd love to see a combat tutorial. I seem to die a lot because I can't figure out how to flip my ship around. Most of the time the enemy ends up behind casually firing away because the only way I can turn around is to by doing a massive arc. I understand that disabling flight assist has something (or everything) to do with turning your ship on a six pence but until my joystick gets delivered and I set up Voice Attack I'm stuck with a mouse and keyboard and I often end up terribly disorientated as I fumble with the keys.

On a positive note I've not once crashed whilst docking. On the other hand I seem to consistently loose money as a trader.

I plan on having some combat videos soon. I've got quite the list of requested videos, so I'll likely be going over many of the game systems clarifying them first before going into advanced combat videos.

What tips I can give you now without knowing too much about how you fly, when turning keep your throttle in the blue zone which will give you the tightest turn radius you can get on your ship.

Once you're comfortable with that, try some flight assist toggling by getting throttle into the blue, start your turn and when you're at about 30 degrees+ into the turn, flip off flight assist and give yourself vertical thrusters in the direction you are pitching. (Use your upward trusters if you are pitching up, down with down.) Keep an eye on your radar, or on the enemy if you have head tracking, while doing this and when you're about to come around on them toggle flight assist back off.

This is the most basic flight assist toggle turn which will give you an even tighter turn radius than you get get with only keeping your speed within the blue. Do note though, that when you are doing the flight assist off maneuver your ship is continually moving in the general direction when you toggled it off. So keep this in mind if you are turning in tight spaces like an asteroid field.

I'm enjoying these.

Thanks for the combat advice. I've been trying to stay within the blue bar during my limited combat experience (most trading at the moment). While I use the mouse for just about ever game I play I get the impression that it just isn't going to cut it. Hopefully my joystick arrives soon - 2 weeks and waiting :(
