Multiple carnivores of the same species

Hey guys! Just a quick question:

Like the title says, can you have multiple carnivores of the same species in one exhibit?
Would they live in peace together when they have enough food or would they still kill each other?
It would be the most logical to have it depend on the species itself, like the raptors would love a pack, and a t-rex would be a lone wolf...

On a side note, if we do manage to get the Carnotaurus in the game, would that be a dinosaur that would like a pack?

I really would like your opinions on this! :)

I'm going to go with there's always the possibility of attacking each other. Even herbivores will be fighting eventually. But who knows you might be able to tweak their gnomes so that they are rather peacefull. So basically even when they could live well together in packs/herds some will end up fighting eventually.

It's lucky though the fighting do not always lead to death.
I just hope their AI is made smart enough in such that they will not fight all the time. Occasionally fighting would be fun to watch actually...[squeeeee]

I thought the "Social" value is telling you whether the dinosaur need a pack or not.
And I think when the value is 0 it's more likely that they will fight.

I'm not going to put two big carnivores together just to watch them fight, they are to expensive.
In a sandbox mode that is another question. :)

Thanks for the responses guys!

I suppose I will go with ''safe'' method of having only one carnivore in an exhibit! :)
Like Lora Craft 69 said, it might be too much of a risk money-wise to have them kill each other.

And how do they breed in the wild one would have to ask...

Unless they became asexual..

All dinosaurs in Jurassic world are female.
In the wild they probably smelled when a female was ready to mate and stayed together until their offspring was big enough to manage by itself.
That's at least what most paleontologists think it was.

If they're pack animals, they'll probably get along most of the time. And some dinosaurs of different species might naturally get along, like the Deinonychus and the Metriacanthosaurus - that is, if the trailer is any indication. But in any case, there's always some risk that they'll fight; after all, two raptors were seen fighting in that very same trailer.

Yeah and I also saw two triceratops fight in someones demo play but it's most likely not to the death.
Big carnivores might be something else, they most likely fight until one is left.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a ''peace gnome''! ^^

I believe each Dinosaur will have a rating telling us if they need to have others of the same species around for social reasons. I believe the raptors will be this way. But I doubt many of the larger carnivores will want to share an enclosure with another one of their kind. I don't see a T-Rex wanting to socialize with another Rex. Some of the medium sized carnivores might want a pack/social group but that would be it. I suspect most of the herbivores will want to be in herds though.

I suppose that dinosaurs like Triceratops or Pachycephalosaurus will fight to be the alpha in a "friendly" way and not mortal.

The raptors will live quietly among them because they are social with their same species, maybe they will not attack the Dilophosaurus like in JPOG.
In general, I see small carnivores coexisting relatively well between different species.

The problem will be the big carnivores. T-Rex will be extremely territorial and we will see the personality that they put to the Spino, if they do it as in the JP saga or as it was in reality plus a fish-eater. I would love to see the small-medium sized carnivores fleeing in the presence of a T-Rex.

If I remember correctly, on JPOG, I had numerous Ceratasaurs together, likewise with the Albertasaurs.
