Multiple Combat Ships, and what you use them for?

I hear the Corvette is really good ship for mining :D

I only have 2 combat ships

Anni - HazRes and CZs
FAS - rare PVPs

Everything else - Python (can be configured to do almost anything really)

Although, im looking forward to the T10, want to see how it is as a combat ship :)

Well should be getting my Vette in after a few more runs which I'll do tomorrow. Got all the mats for engineering it up to par so will have to test out new loadouts and try and make it unique from my FAS, FDL and Vulture builds as I don't want them all to be the same loadouts for boredom sake.

Then I should be fine having 4 combat ships then, and hopefully none are sitting there collecting dust since rep grinding will finally be done for me for both Empire and Federation and I can start screwing around more with all my combat ships...

Different ships for different experiences. My Cutter can tank through virtually anything while farming indefinitely. My Clipper is actually fun to pilot.

I maintain a fair sized fleet, owning at least of each ship, 2 of many and 3 of some.

Of combat ships, I've a rather nice selection:

Cobra III - Used for raiding + low and medium security installations
Viper III - Used for Nav Beacon hunting
Viper IV - Used for Low RES hunting
Vulture - Used for hunting in Wreckage sites
FAS - Used for ++ and +++ Medium and High security base raids
FGS - Used to hunt anywhere and Low CZ's
Python - High CZ and hunting anywhere.
Anaconda - General combat where large pads are available, RES and CZ.
Corvette - Multicrew hunting and GC's
Beluga - Hunting anything anywhere, any time. Yeah, you read that right, a Beluga. Also as a support ship for training aspiring combat pilots
Orca - Combat Wing Support ship. Light hunting. Yep, you read that right too - an Orca.
Cutter - When I want to hunt but don't want to work at it. See Corvette.

Yes, but unfortunately my home systems are a good distance away from a really good mining spot. The corvette has terrible jump range. Thus, I mine in the 'Conda and haul it all back home.

It's fun to mine in a Haz RES. It keeps you on your toes, and introduces some excitement. If you let the pirates stack up without dealing with any, you can get assaulted by 6+ ships easily.
