Multiple expansions at once

Does anyone know if it's possible to expand from multiple systems at the same time? I was told by frontier twice from it is possible but I've also submitted a bug report and now they are saying it's not possible so I thought I would ask here, does anyone know if it is actually possible to expand from multiple systems at once?

Expansion is minor faction wide so no. However a double expansion from the same place used to be possible under influence and population rules.

Expansion is minor faction wide so no.

This is something I'm curious about. I understand that the devs' plan for expansion was to make it a faction-wide state, with the faction expanding from its happiest system (a quality that can't be measured, apparently). But if they do that, it seems like expansion would become the only faction-wide state remaining. That seems odd.

I was told by frontier twice that it would be possible so I really don't know why they said that, maybe they plan to make it possible in the future as I know they said expansions are meant to be happiness based but have they actually implemented that yet, isn't it still influence based?

Interesting question. So what would happen if you have two systems for your faction that are close to 75%, you trigger expansion in one system first, then shortly after hit 75% in the second system?

Would that 2nd system then just not trigger any expansion or would it automatically queue another expansion to start after the first has finished?

1. Yes, it would not trigger. Only the first triggered expansion happens. The game knows no queue.
2. Expansion goes into 2 day cooldown when the next is triggered after the first is finished.

You might want to keep all non wished expansion systems at 70% max, including your next choice.
