Multiple Installations

I've bought into the Premium Beta (and yes eagerly waiting for the release today) and want to understand the installations limitations
1) I travel a lot with work and would like to be able to play the game while in the Hotels (on laptop) but then of course transfer to the better setup on my PC at home. Does the license include multiple installs and if so is there a mechanism for transferring save games?
2) My eldest daughter is interested in Elite and has been playing the Alpha combat scenarios with me. With my account can I set-her up with a commander or would I need a separate account (and another £100!) in order to do this? I could, I think, give her one of the three save games but that would mean that she could only access it using my Windows 8.1 login I think.

1) fine - just get a new authorisation code for the lappy.

2) you need a new account (read copy of the game) for that. You log in as you, so to have a second person login as you would error. Or it should, may be worth a beta test on that one! Not sure how character slots will work, but most likely only one can be played at a time, the other two are sleeping somewhere. So you'd need a second copy of the game.

Are saves stored on-line then? I guess this could be something to play with in Beta. I'm guessing save game security will start to tighten up so if they end up getting encrypted by authorisation code it might not be a copy and paste job......

Sounds like I will set up a dummy account in Windows just for the game and then either of us can log in and play. I was thinking it would be one at a time so the concurrent issue isn't a problem. No point trying to play at the same time as it would be far too tempting to blow her to bits!

Either way I'll play with this and report back in case anyone else is trying to do similar.
