Multiple Kill Mission Bug?

Im trying to get my Federation rank up and tonight accepted a "Naval Progession Opportunity" assassination mission out of Ovid (Abe Works) to kill Gen.ABE, then before setting off I noticed another to kill Gen.Costa... Great both in Opala so ill hunt both, kill them and get 2 progressions. :)

Off I go and find Gen.Costa and promptly murderfy him and it appears both Contracts mark as complete, from the one kill. Ive been back to Ovid and handed both missions in, and only progressed the one rank, is this a bug?

No, you accepted a mission to take you up to the next rank from the rank when you took the mission.

Each mission has as it's reward "Promotion to Baron" or whatever rank it was.

Thus after you handed in each, your rank was set to "Baron" or whatever rank it was.

I see, so its in effect my own fault for accepting two of essentially the same mission. :)
