Multiple NUM-Pads possible?

So, its no problem for Elite to differentiate between multiple Joysticks, but is it possible to have multiple NUM-pads of the same type configured with different actions, or prevents Windows the game to recognize them like it does with multiple mice?

well, well, i don't think so. also if you plug more keyboards in you can't configure them separately...

*except*

programmable keypads and boards.

i'm currently oogling some of them:

https://www.amazon.de/Logitech-G13-...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=W3Y9D3TF7BMGJ05S0S6K

Yeah, I had both of them in mind too, but the G13 is rather pricy (and not lefty compatible) and the T9 isn't programmable and is recognized as a normal Keyboard as far as I know.

I bought one of these:

Well, thats at least 22 buttons in a small space.

You can have more than one number pad as I do but it cannot be used to do something different from the one on the keyboard, they work in parallel, just in different positions.

I use the (expensive) XKeys 16 stick which is programmable, if you have some programming knowledge, which I use to trigger Voice Attack actions and I have the thing set up for 60 additional keys although I only use 18 at present.

But you can! With free program called HID Macros. You can have multiple keyboards of any type and bind them differently. I used it with FSX.

I still have my last Razer Black Widow lazing about the basement which only got replaced because the Chroma is un-necessarily fun. Now I'm sorely tempted to re-attach it but IDK if I have a neeeeed for it so much as it would be satisfying in a "985hp engine in your daily driver" kind of way. Along with a 3-pc HOTAS I probably don't require all that many inputs for any gameplay reasons beyond crazy macros since I haven't even used up all the keys on the main board, but having two banks of glowing controls is deffo spaceship-worthy.

Looks like the dev lost access to the original OS on which they wrote the HID version, but there's a more recent version linked in this post.

Or you could get a pack of two of these Multi-Function Displays (MFD) {buttons only}:

Lots of buttons, no drivers, two seperate USB input devices, recognised by windows and by E D - I love their convenience. (They are good for flight sims too.)
