Multiple objectives in on-foot CZ

Do you remember "Assault" mode in Unreal 2k4 ? We even had vehicles in some cases. Or Wolfenstein Enemy Territory ?
I would like to have multiple objectives, specific to who's attacker / defender in a CZ, so you can have more strategy (achieve the mission without too much kill).
We could have Maverick or SRV or even Ships as part of the key roles to achieve a mission:
  • stop a force field using the Maverick suite
  • use ship to destroy a building
  • use ships or SRV to travel long distances between building in a large settlement
Same can apply to stations in space (if we can infiltrate a station on-foot)
 
It seems to me that due to the mechanics of recurring instance zones, this will not work. In general, it was great to redesign the conflict system so that the war in the zone would start at a certain time and as soon as it ended in a certain way, it would lead to certain consequences for one side or another. A step-by-step confict would be interesting, but we have a grind, so sorry)
