Ship Builds & Load Outs Multitasking mission build

Hi everyone,

I decided to run some missions (solo play), and I'm looking for a reasonably cheap loadout to accept the maximum number of mission including :
- Data Courrier (well, anything can do that)
- Salvages (space and ground)
- Hauling and/or Smuggling
- Planetary scans and easy base assault (solo play)
- <600k target assassination (the hardest part :p) and BH in case some mission pops up

Two ships have gotten my interest (within my budget, that is) : the Keelback and the Diamonback Explorer (exemple loadouts linked).

In your opinion, which one will fare the best ? ... Or would another one within this price range offer better results ?

Thanks for your help CMDRs o7

Well, I thought about the Aspx... It's beyond my price range though, and the rebuy cost seems prohibitive since I won't gain that much money from doing missions.

Well. It's less than your Keelback build, and trust me, find a base, build up rep with the locals and you'll make a killing running missions ;)

Ah, sorry, my bad. I put the version with the 7M interdictor (and I don't need one). The Keelback end up at 14,7M... Which is still not that far from your build.
Full multicanon seem a little dull though, but then again, combat won't happen that much. Thank you for your input, I'll consider it.

I love both the Keelback and the DBE but for overall flexibility I'd probably go the Keelback.

I'd also consider the ASP-E and the Cobra MK IV. But that because those 4 ships are my favourites in E : D

The ASP and Cobra are way more flexible. Overall the are all good for what you want to do. fly them and if you don't enjoy it pick the other. You'll make enough money for them all eventually.

I'm grinding Fed rank at the mo and I find an Asp Explorer offers loads of options.
Courier and transport missions, smuggling, assassinations too if you're confident. If you're carrying data from A to B, you can load up with 80-96 tonnes of tradable goodies as well - makes the whole process a lot more profitable.
And when I need a buzz those Class 2 Beams in a High Res site are actually pretty tidy! I run with a size 6 cargo rack and 5A shields for missions but for bounty hunting replace these with 6A shields and fill all other slots with hull reinforcements.
I think that the Asp is really the most versatile option in this price range

This.

The only real other option is investing in a cobra mk3 and just shifting modules around depending on what sorts of things you're wanting to do until you can afford an AspX.

Within this class group, you really don't want to push into the 700k+ rebuy cost range, especially if you are interested in assassination missions. If you need to do more than 1 high risk mission to pay for replacement, then you are looking at potentially ending in a situation where you are just entering into a spiral of loss after loss. Doubly true as a solo player since assassination missions start to put you against multiple enemies at once.
