Yep that's me......

And a word to everyone else.....NEVER EVER....EVER......Have boost and reverse mapped to a single switch....

I HAD it mapped to the speedbrake on my warthog......Forward boost...Back reverse....

Docking at Aulin Enterprise, Just about to go in and an NPC comes straight at me.....Managed to quickly thrust up and stop so avoiding him/it.....Realign and power in quickly just in case any other NPC is coming out.

Because I came in quickly I overshot my docking bay.....Had to reverse.....

You can guess the rest....

There goes a few hours........

Though I didn't lose my life I did map my eject cargo to the same switch as deploy cargo scoop on my Rhino... 100t of Fish floating around in the verse and a 15k fine for dumping near a station. I should probably remap, but I most likely won't.
I'll get around to it when I dump a big juicy load of Gold or something that really hurts the bank account.

I use speedbrake for cargo scoop and landing gear - this works quite well as there is a hold mode for the cargo scoop in the E : D mappings. The pinky button on the throttle makes a good reverse, and for me boost is on the joystick but you could use Slew control's push button (I use Slew for Yaw).

LOL I refuse to map the eject cargo button on my rhino. There needs to be a switch on it that has one of those caps you need to flip up first, or you need to put a key in and turn it haha.

Been there...

I bought a Lakon. From the last remaining credits I bought cargo. I remember thinking "you are going to regret this...", so I was extra careful. When arriving at my destination, I waited until I didn't saw anyone about to leave or enter, set shield to full, aimed with all my might, gave it some throttle, really slow, like walking on eggs entered the letter slot, and forgot to ask permission to dock.

I think I never pinched the chair that hard. Went full speed backwards, hearing some Booms and Bangs from NPC's being squashed, but to no avail. I can still see the of the - fresh from the academy - station's security.

My X52 Pro has one of those with the red switch that says "safe" on the switch.

I haven't assigned that button yet so I might set it to jettison all cargo.
