Murals whatever happened

So while looking at a zoo of mine today, I noted the murals I have up that make Arctic habitats and jungle rivers look good and provide a nice theme.
I remember many of us had hoped frontier would include more murals in the future. 1.5 years later we got none. Now I know it was never suggested they would add some more in the future but I feel they really could have added some for different dlcs.
Does anyone care for murals in the future? Or are you set on getting creative for backgrounds of your habitats?

I suppose one possibility is that Frontier thought there wasn't a need for them after they added custom billboards, since you could hypothetically use them to create murals. Would still be nice to get more murals though, given those sets included doorways and curved walls.

I to was hoping for more murals with biome themes, I would love to see more in the near future.

Yes, I was excited about the potential for more murals and I'm not sure why we didn't get any others (aside from the fact Frontier didn't consider them a priority.)

I think you're onto something here. Theoretically, for the primary use of the murals, the custom billboards would do the trick in most instances. But as you point out there, they don't have any "curved billboards" so it won't work in all instances. I do think, though, that the instances where this would be critical are so few and far between that I don't see it happening anytime soon...

I do think a few more mural sets would be nice (e.g., night/"nocturnal house" versions of the existing murals, temperate forest, swamp, coastal areas, etc). But yeah, I think it's custom billboards or bust for us! Haha.
