Music and Lights ideas.

Hi there, since im on this forum im getting more and more ideas, the ideas are based on some problems that i had on RCT3. So thats why i show you those ideas, hope your peeps are going to like them.


Music

I think everyone on the forum does think about the music for Planet Coaster, everyone knows that RCT3 had music on all sorts of coasters, flat rides, etcetera. Now there where some problems with trying to use you own music in the game, and thats why i want to purpose some ideas from me.

1. Using your own music in the game, with a option to import the file. (MP3)

The steps are simple, if there is a import button to import one or more mp3 files in that playlist of the game. It would be more user-friendly, instead of doing it with using the %appdata% and looking for the map "music" or something like that.

Lights

The old RCT3 had no light options, to add some light to the coaster. The only way was to put normal lanterns next to the coaster, and it looked always awful. So my idea is to make a way to add lights to a coaster, and to pick any color for those lights. Its a little bit complex to say, and i hope all of you like this idea to.

This image is what i mean, the coaster is dark and the only way to solve the problem is to put lanterns next to it.

Sorry that i do answer this late to the post. (and i dont know why noone else did)

I think Lights next to the coaster in different colours are really a must have. I had those problems back in RCT 3 as well!

Music: Yes own MP3 sound great! May the can even allow spotify support... dont know if thats possible^^

I like the idea of adding your own music (for background and speakers). Do you mean something like this?

About the music.
The main problem is that you can't import, and thats why i purpose this.

About the light.
I want aditional lamps, to add on a coaster but with the possibilty to use every color that you want, for individual lichts. One of my new things that i thought about yesterday was this:

In this video they talk about a system with multiple ways of using that light, if this can be made for coasters it will be prety awesome. I want to make clear this is maybe a new way of using the lights, i want also to make clear with this video that we maybe can use this in a different way into the game.

Some things that i like if you can use it for coasters.

- Speed of light.
- Multiple colors.
- Presets

Its just a explaining where i'm going, i did not know how to explain it in a other way.

I definitely agree with the music part, but not sure if I'm following the light discussion right.

Real coasters don't usually have lights attached to the track or supports, however floodlights to light up supports would be amazing, +1 for that idea [up]

Yep same, I clearly want some spotlight, but not something automatically attached to my coasters.

I value my freedom in this game.

If we have programmable lights (just like the "particles box" could work), everybody can place their lights to illuminate (or not) what they want to illuminate. And everyone is happy.

I really hope we can customize the light colors and sequences. It would also be important to include an option for the lights to only turn on at night or be able to time it to any time you want. I asked about the custom music and photos in one of the earlier Q and A's. They replied that it was not something on their list at the moment, but they might look into it. I don't think it will be in the alpha but maybe at the full release. We are still technically anywhere from a quarter to three quarters of a year until the game will be launched completely so they might implement it later down the road.

The lights look so cool on that ride! We definitely need something like this in Planet Coaster. I also hope we can have that type of rock in the game. The texture and shape look great for a minetrain ride. I also hope we have the same type of tunnel as an option.

Yes, it would be so nice to have lights that we place where we want to create a specific atmosphere. Daphnir, The Big thunder mountain you choose for example shows how much it would be great to be able to create something like this.

In others RCT, I spent more time to manage the park than to create scenery, but with dev diaries and how the building and tools work, it really give me the interest to make beautiful scenery and try to recreate more theme parks. [up]

Custom music would be sooooooooooo awesome. While I'm at the forum, I always listen to the tunes of audionetwork.com, since someone told us that the music of Planet Coaster Dev Diaries could be found over there. http://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/tread-fast-2_77584
There are loads of other beautiful tracks to be found over there, and many of them would fit my theme parks very well! [yesnod]

About the lighting: I would love to be able to place different kinds of lights in my parks. It would enable me to create beautiful and especially magical areas! That would be amazingly magical! [big grin]
