I don't do a lot of exploration, but when I'm doing a 'long' multi-jump trip across borders to turn in non-local bounties, I like to listen to Wolfgun. http://wolfgun.bandcamp.com/ Random Nightcore mixes seem to give me an edge when I'm expecting combat, though, for whatever reason.

I normally put on either Sigur Ros or the pots-rock radio stations via iTunes -- anything atmospheric / ambient. I dig the music that doesn't invade the game, but helps set the tone. :]
