Hello all

Newly registered on this forum, but a proud pledger on Kickstarter.
Just wanted to say hello to everyone! :)

Also, I was thinking of writing a rearrangement of the old Frontier: Elite 2 theme, just for fun! Would anyone be interested in hearing that?

Firstly welcome to the forum.
I've waited until now because I wanted to hear your music before replying. My word that's some damn fine work! :cool:

An interesting idea about doing a rearrangement of the old FE2 theme. I take it you will already have seen this vid? So far that's the best I have heard, but judging from what I listened to on your site, I think your capable of pushing it that bit further. ;)

Would be very nice if Elite Dangerous allows us to add our own music to the game, then people could do whole themed music packs, a bit like the Hyper Radio OXP add on for Oolite.

Good luck if you decide to do it, oh and lets us hear it of course if you do. :)

Welcome! OMG yes please, anything fan make is going to make this year better. That music makes me smile every time i hear it.

Thanks Geraldine for the links to youtube. I had forgotten about this link and it will send me off to sleep tonight with a smile on my face... ah the old times... but bring on the new!

Ok I have now had a chance to listen to them. There is some nice work among them.

My favorite of them is Spider, and a 2nd close is Fort Libelulla Harp(this one reminded my of Bards tale old game).

Cheers for sharing them with us.

Welcome to the forums. Oh I have moved this thread to the Elite/Frontier thread as it covers older Elites :)

Looking forward to hearing your re done themes. :)

Thanks very much for having a listen to my stuff! :)

Yeah, looking forward to redoing the Frontier theme. If I'm honest, and discounting the powerful appeal of nostalgia, I find the theme rather bland - so I'll be beefing up the orchestration and possibly tinkering with the chord progressions a little - but don't worry, it'll still be recognizeable!
I won't be able to tackle it for a while though - a little busy with other stuff at present - but I'll let you all know when it's done.
