My 1st Foray into VR w/ Elite: Dangerous

Something that's just helped improve my image quality is using a display port adaptor like this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B013G4EXMM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which was recommended in this thread https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/278996-Rift-hdmi-port-users. For myself and a few others it has made a noticeable difference to the image quality and has reduced the god rays a bit too.

Indeed, saw that; mine is being delivered in the morning :)

UPDATE 01

I've made the following changes based on comments from our delightful VR community here. Thanks all!

1) Instead of using Supersampling in game, now using 1.0 in game and 1.5 in debug tool, looks good!

2) Changed HUD colors to a pleasant blue and white from the NO2O thread and turned down the HUD brightness by half; helped with some of the god rays.

3) Fiddled with the straps over and over again to lessen Rift-Face which has helped. Lots more support from the back of the head piece and no longer resting on my cheek bones.

Lack of focus is still driving me nuts. It's nice and clear where I'm looking directly, but quite blurry in the peripheral. From what I understand, that's the nature of the beast. Anyone have any tips to mitigate?

Yeah, in VR you more or less want to keep your eyes fixed straight ahead and move the whole head from the neck, even for small looks.
Glancing about with the old pupils will only let you see blurriness in your peripheral.

It all becomes natural enough after a while and there is no way back to a flat panel after a while for sure...

The nature of the lens design. If someone comes up with a better design, hopefully they will sell just the lens assemblies as an upgrade.
