They probably targeted your power plant - unfortunately they are way too vulnerable, especially to a well piloted FDL. Sorry for your loss, I hope you went out guns blazing!!

The A.I. is stepping up it's game considerably.

Last night I had an Elite Ranked Eagle strip the shields of my kitted Python before I could even get him in my sights!
Melted him in seconds when I got a bead on him, but I was surprised and frustrated how tricky he was to tag.
First for me..

Sorry mate, our profession is a hardest. I suggest buying a Python for piracy, as with 300 million credits, you can mostly A-grade it, and it can mass-lock everything except for the Anaconda. It may not have the best shields, but with your stock shield gen on your 'Conda, you don't seem to be taking advantage of it.

I wish you luck on your adventure, CMDR! Wait... you didn't lose that 'Conda completely, right? Right?

Whatever you did in that Anaconda, it wasn't pirating. Everyone can get away from an anaconda, including other anacondas. Tell us the story of your life. Tell us, how you mesmerised ships into dropping cargo, even though every single one of them could boost away.

Turreted cannons probably a bad idea. Pulse laser turrets would have been more effective.

Best shield banks? Did you have shield potions (shield cells)?

Why didn't you jump to SC once you lost shields? They can't mass lock you.

I tried and the players were just to good to get out of there and I had charges but I panicked forgot to hit the button and lost shields

LOL, that's a first - turning to piracy AFTER you have the money! :D

No wories mate, you'll get better with experience. You should have been carrying enough shield cell boosters to outlast both opponents (and then some)!

Suggest you strip the conda even in solo just doin trading you would be mad with no ins.

If hudson exploited systems still do discount you could strip and sell and rebuy if yours is not a discounted ship. That would give you a good few mill. If not;

Tough choices. Take the hit and get a python or after stripping get a vulture with 10 mill you get good pve and bounty hunt if have insurance.

Long time ago I lost my python as panicked when clipper cmdr rammed me and lost shields. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Learn and move on.
