My animals on the Animal Market get cancelled because of "Parse error in 'value: PARKNAME']'

I just found the solution to the previous problem I had now I have another problem to deal with, all of a sudden (since yesterday's maintenance?), my animals get cancelled on the animal market, even though I did not change my park name and I've never had this issue before...

My guess is that it does not like the ' in "Vincat's paradise" but my Zoo is not even called "Vincat's Paradise" so not sure where the issue comes from, it's called "Kortrijk Zoo".

Interesting... I received a similar "Parse Error" yesterday when I downloaded some items from the workshop. Two of them said Parse Error instead of the expected title/name of the item.

Is Vincat's Paradise the name of your franchise? I think that part of the market may list the franchise name, instead of the name of the specific zoo.

The parse error is definitely the apostrophe. (may also apply to other special characters if there were any, but not sure). I'm often able to buy animals from the market despite having parse error as their franchise name, so I'm not sure if it's necessarily stopping sells or if it's just a visual/textual error.

I don't spend a lot of time on the transaction history page, because I find that it often misses transactions even when they've gone through and gotten the credits. So I can't remember if that page makes a distinction between "canceled" and "expired" (ie. no one bought it in the hour that it was on the market). I've also found that if you log out of a zoo and then load back in (either to that same zoo or another one), it also cancels the trade session before the end of the hour. As far as I can tell, this is related to loading into the zoo rather than out, since I often put things up for sale right before I log out for the night and find that they've sold fine even when I'm not online -- as long as I'm not loading into something else in the meantime.

You might look at the animal that did sell and see if it's showing that name too. If so, it's possible that these are two equally annoying issues that aren't related.... ie, that the name looks strange, and the market is showing (some but not all of) the animals that didn't sell by the end of the hour, but that these are unrelated items.

Would be lovely if both of these were fixed in future updates so it would be less confusing!

Yes that is my Franchise name and I've renamed it. This fixed the problem! Thank you so much for your input!

I have been playing over 500 hours on this Franchise and sold probably a few thousands animals, and this the first time I had this issue.

So yes I can confirm that the Animal Market does make a distinction between "expired" and "cancelled".

I often only go in the game for a few minutes to put animals up for sale and shut the game down only to check again hours or a day later or whatever, never head issues of animals been cancelled because of that. (Or not that I have noticed).

So the issue was the apostrophe for sure.

Thanks for helping me out!
