My biggest problem with the Mamba is...

...I can't get enough of it!

It's my favourite ship in the game. I love the style of it, the central cockpit and the huge hard point on the roof.
I honestly think I might have a problem, I've bought 3 of them now...

My original Bounty Hunter, the first combat ship i worked really hard to get when i first started playing and my ode to Spike Spiegel.
It's all MCs and Seeker Missiles with an huge Burst Laser just for fun.

My CG/CZ party monster killing machine that's like a rave flying through space, featuring pink lasers and engines.
This one earned me the white emissive fed decal so it proudly wears it on the front from now on.

And my latest addition that is a kind of a hybrid of the first two. This one is all black and red with red lasers and looks like a Dethklok show in battle 🤘
Its name is also a little nod to one of the best B-Movies ever made.

Lord knows it wont be long before I probably buy another one. I've also got 2 FDLs and would love to see some more Zorgon Peterson ships in the future🤞

Whats completely crazy is.. the mamba somehow turned out to be my primary (carrier based) exploration ship. I absolutely love it as well, and there's not one hard point equipped. Beat the type-9, type-10, beluga, even the adder for exploration.

The canopy is excellent, and the boost noise is amazing.

Wasn't expecting it at all until it happened. There's just something about it.

I bought myself a Mamba (christened the Viduka if football references fire your thrusters) when I found myself flush with space bucks for impulse purchases recently, because it’s a right speedyboi and looks like it’s flew in straight outta Star Wars. That bubble cockpit is amazing and it’s faster than anything else I’ve flown... I just don’t quite know what to do with it yet so it’s gathering hangar dust for the time being.

I think I wanted it to be some sort of Boulton Paul Defiant ‘turret fighter’ but the C4 hardpoint is wasted on a turret...

The Mamba is one of those ships that you just don't want to get out of, even if you're about to do something it technically is bad at. Speaks volumes of its character. Its basking potential alone is worth getting one.

Mine is a full frag assassin, 2 small 3 large, and fully engineered. My only problem: Once I started deleting ships with it, everything else felt slow, both in speed and firepower.
Nowadays I tend to only actively seek combat when flying my mamba - spoiled richkid that I am (now).

Two of mine both have a Gimballed High Cap Corrosive MC and 4 Gimballed Efficient Burst Lasers.
I find this combination works very well for popping Power Plants.

Interestingly if you stick Multi Servos on the Large BLs it brings the fire rate up just enough to make a nice little polyrhythm with the fire rate of the Small BLs when you fire all four at once.

Both-1s-3s-1s-both-1s-3s-1s.

(bit of a music nerd and this amuses me)

Pretty much all my ships are named after some sort of B-Movie/Sci-Fi thing.

My FC is named Ghidorah Maru.
One of FDLs is named Jet Jaguar.
One of My Krait IIs is named Rodans Revenge the other has recently been renamed Mothras Embrace.
My Corvette is named Gotengo.
(BIG Godzilla fan if you hadn’t noticed).
I’ve got a bunch of mining/trading/exploration ships named after Red Dwarf ships.
And I’ve also just bought another FDL that I’m considering loading up with Frag Cannons and naming Roddy Piper.

Each thruster in the back has 2 round things on top that pop out when you fuel scoop. Not bad for a ZP ship, not bad at all.

When I was looking for a new combat ship I went with the Krait II instead mainly because it has the SLF bay. I might have to look into the Mamba at some point though just to try it out and see what it's like.

She’s quite the gorgeous hot rod, that’s for sure.

I adore my Mamba. Sure, the shields aren’t quite as high as my twin FdLs, and the turning isn’t quite as fast, but I don’t give a damn, she’s got soul and is stupid fun to fly.

Just dropped 10 mil to have mine shipped back from the Witch Head sector (I guess she was there for a Thargoid thing a year ago), so that I can get out of my A-rated, spec’d up Vette and fly the Mamba instead on massacre missions. That’s how much I love my Mamba.
