My bookmarks, total mess

So here I am, plotting my way home from a long trip.
Suddenly, looking at my bookmarks, I notice that I had too many of them and couldn't find anything easily.

Now before you call me a lazy pile of dirt : yes I tried to name them in an organised way... but I have too many of them, it takes me forever to access things.

So here's my question : Did someone already suggest a "Folder" feature in this bookmarks tab ? I like to have my stuff in a very confined way, folders would be the perfect deal for arranging my trips and discoveries.

I'm no developper but I assume that when you created a whole g galaxy, a folder system wouldn't be so wild consider, yes ? :x
Oh and also, I read about a bookmarks limit but people all had different numbers : what's the limit ? Is there one ? If yes, why ?

Yeah, I hope the mention of this on the Q&A today didn't go unnoticed. This is the current view for me around Colonia. Not very useful, forcing me to create "folders" in the list view using alphabetical prefixes. That works for a while, until that long list gets as cluttered as the galaxy view :D

Colors would work for me, anything really !

colours would be nice, problem is we don't have enough bookmarks for them to be useful, I've stopped using them now and have gone back to pencil and paper because I never have enough and I've deleted some and not others so they're in no particular order

now I have bookmarks scattered about the galaxy and the UI is too clunky to go through and delete them, as it has to move the camera to the system before you have the option to delete, this takes loading time especially in far out or dense areas. a lot of mine are routes across rifts or to far out segments of stars at the edge of the galaxy so I can get back out!

so yeah more bookmarks and colours along with filtering... that would be a nice QOL improvement until then its the pencil & paper its easier and I can just throw it away afterwards :)

I prefer my notepad++ :) My handwriting is even more complicated to read than my bookmarks...

Honestly, there is quite a lot of reasons for a near-complete overall of the UI. Things are not practical, slow to appear, too big, truncated, require a lot of mouse movement, and agreed, too simplistic in many regards. Billions of systems and 250 bookmarks in a single even-looking list? Come on.

250 ? Well that will do it for one trip I guess, then I'll delete them :( Maybe we'll get something more advanced soon...

I too suggested colored bookmarks. At least I would be able to tell what it is by the color, e.g. White = Neutron Stars or whatever.

A solution to the problem of quantity of bookmarks could be easily resolved and get FDev a little bit more money. in so The default is 100, but in store you could buy Additional bookmarks, say 5 pounds for another 50, 10 pounds for an additional hundred, and so on increasing revenue and also giving us the option for more bookmarks if needed

We all want this, in the absence of order I have an alphabetical prefix system that makes order from chaos.
