Why is it that when you know a ship is WANTED you have to wait until "WANTED" is actually displayed before you can attack with impunity? I mean, come on!

I practically had this WANTED Commander's bounty. I knew he was WANTED from a scan in supercruise. But I shot him before the scan was complete in normal space. I would have got him, easy, if the cops hadn't turned on me. Really, it was in the bag! Sad!

Dude, I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but after reading your post and then watching the video, we have very differing opinions of who had who lol

Thanks for comment about the setup. I posted a proof-of-concept video shortly after I had all the Engineer upgrades earlier today. Here it is against an NPC Vulture (nowhere near like a Commander, but what I like is that all weapons are mounted on top of the ship)

You can imagine my surprise to see my name in this video!

For anyone who cares here is my side of the story.

As I stated he arrived moments (like 2 seconds not even kidding) after I killed (who I assumed to be his buddy) a non compliant Anaconda who chose to fight back and paid the price. (SAD!)

Though as you can see the "victim" here was a vile scumsucking criminal himself. With a high price of 210 credits on his head. So clearly it was my civil duty to put the dog out of his misery.

As for the fight I kind of just let my turrets do their thing while trying to figure out what the heck his plan was in the first place. I suspected Reverb mines or something and kept checking my modules trying to figure out your end game. Turns out you didn't have one!

Ha, whipped up a all-turrets cobra mk4 with dual medium cannons today in beta. Was fun but not as effective in mc as hoped. :(

Took on a Corvette in a..... Cobra Mk IV - Sir you're a brave Cmdr indeed, and oh so lucky to get away there is the end.

Cmdr Punished Mobius must of been laughing his butt off seeing a Cobra Mk IV come in and attack. But still amusing watch regardless and Kudos for doing your best to get vengeance for your fallen wing-man!!
