We purchased Disneyland Adventures for our kids and I’ve found that I’m playing more than they are (not that they don’t like it though, because they do….the smiles they get when they talk/dance with/hug their favorite characters is worth the purchase alone)! You guys did an excellent job with the game. There’s just so much to do! The details in the park are amazing. I love noticing the little things like hearing “The Ballad of Davy Crockett” while wandering around Frontierland or the other guests in the park eating cotton candy and Mickey shaped ice cream treats. It is a lot of fun interacting with all the different characters (voice acting is very well done!) and you can spend hours just going on their little quests and not even get to the huge amount of attractions in the game. We’re about 15% completed with the game with multiple hours of play time and there are still attractions that we haven’t even seen yet!
I do have a couple questions…..the main one is with multiplayer and profiles. Some of this may have more to do with the limitations of the Kinect sensor in recognizing shorter players than issues with the game itself. The game is saved on my Xbox profile and it will usually recognize me when I jump in to play so my avatar is correct with whatever clothes I have selected. Is there a way to have my daughters and/or wife signed in on their Xbox profiles so it saves their avatar and doesn’t always bring up a random one when they jump in/out of gameplay while still keeping all the saved progress on my main profile? My girls were a little upset when the game gave them random boy avatars but now they just leave the play area and come back and it switches to a girl or play with the boy one anyway. However having it save their avatar would especially be helpful when they start customizing their avatars with clothes and costumes. They don’t want to lose them every time they leave the play area and come back.
My other questions is….are there plans for any DLC at all? From your responses to other similar questions is doesn’t look like it. I am not expecting anything major like a whole additional park but just some small stuff like additional characters (my daughters asked where Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder were, for example) and possibly an additional attraction or two (although I’m not sure if there’s really much left for you to add in the way of attractions….looks like you’ve got most of them covered!
)
Again, excellent job on the game. It’s definitely one of my favorite Kinect games and is great for a fun time with the family!
