My day, Cricket, ELite and a broken water pump.

So England are playing South Africa in the Second test today (day 2). We had a reasonable start yesterday (I'm English) but really the scores were even.

So I got up early to walk the dogs (0730) and.. well it's Christmas, and tuned into the test match.

Stokes and Bairstow are slaughtering the SA bowling and I'm on a muddy field in Aberdeenshire getting soaked in the torrential rain* listening to the whole affair on a small DAB radio in the gnashing wind.

*Wetter area of Britain are available.

Then I get home.

Because no one else is up (it is Christmas). I tune in BBC Radio 5Lsx on the internet radio: Test Match Special, fire up Elite, Sky Sports 3 Cricket on the TV and cruise the Galaxy on a 200 ly bounty collection round trip.

So what's special?

I spend four hours, playing my favourite game, watching my favourite game, listening to my favourite game whilst my favourite/ team in my favourite sport get their highest scores ever!.

So many records broken.

I salute you Ben Stokes and Johnny Bairstow, you may be Ginger but by the Gods you are awesome Crickiters and by Gods Braben you have made the perfect game!

ANd yes UI am a bit drunk ;)
